Bastian Void is one of the solo monikers of Joseph Bastardo, a visual artist and musician from Worcester, Massachusetts. Joseph also performs in various groups, such as Looks Realistic and Gay Shapes. Since 2009 he has maintained the tape label Moss Archive.

Joe grew up with the cathode-ray productions of the 80s transmitted directly into his brain. From a young age he has been fascinated by the synthetic sounds that pepper everyday life and captures that in his collage of synthesized soundscapes, concrete compositions and muted rhythmic pulses. He has released tapes for labels such as Digitalis, Faux-Pas, YDLMIER, Field Hymns, Constellation Tatsu and Orange Milk.
